If you smell gas or your bill suddenly becomes high, we can test your gas installation, detect, locate and repair any gas leak.

A gas leak is a standard test we carry out with every visit, both before we commence work and immediately upon completion.

We advise you of current gas regulation and safety aspects of the gas installation.

Upon completion of any gas works, we issue you with a Queensland Government Gas Compliance Certificate for your records. Also, from 1st July 2011 a gas compliance stamped plate must be issued, showing installation traceability.  If your gas appliance is installed by an unlicenced person the manufacturer’s warranty is void.

Remember

CO or carbon monoxide kills people.  It is usually formed due to the incorrect combustion of gas.  It is odourless, colourless and therefore lethal.  An old or incorrectly serviced appliance can produce carbon monoxide in fatal doses.

A person is unaware they are breathing in the toxic fumes and within a few hours can become unwell and drowsy.  If you suspect this, turn the appliance off immediately, open windows and contact us so that our licenced gas fitters can carry out a safety check.

Many people choose and purchase the gas appliance before checking that their existing gas installation pipework is large enough.  Prior to purchasing any gas appliance, it is advisable to contact us and discuss your existing systems capacity.

Most modern appliances such as instantaneous hot water systems require a large pull of gas on initial start up before modulating to an energy efficient rate; however, if your existing pipework system fails to deliver gas at the required rate, then the HWS will shut down. It is essential that the gas pipe system, pipe diameter and meter capacity is correctly sized.

We can visit site and size your existing system, informing you of its suitability and gas rate limits.

Out team of gasfitters are proactive and highly experienced in all aspects of gas work.

We place great importance on tidiness, using mats for our tools and materials.

We arrive at the agreed time and make a point of keeping you informed of our progress, as we understand the frustrations encountered by poor punctuality.
